Ubisoft has revealed that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will have both the male and female versions of Eivor as the protagonist, with the character’s gender changing depending on the point of the story.
While players will be able to pick a set gender at the start, Valhalla will also provide an option that states “Let the Animus decide”, which is the default option. “The Animus will represent the stronger female or male memory-stream, depending on its current strength,” says the description.
Narrative director Darby McDevitt took to Twitter to talk about the system.
What does this mean exactly? Does this mean that female eivor is the official canon version or?
