Fortnite players can check out the in-game Compete tab to see when the tournament starts in their region. During the scheduled time, players can hop in to the tournament playlist. Players will have the opportunity to win rewards in the #FreeFortnite Cup for four hours. Solo players can play up to 12 matches and the details about scoring are mentioned below:
- Active Time – 1 point for every 3 minutes on the BR island.
- Eliminations – 1 point per Elimination
- Victory Royale – 10 points for each Victory Royale
Players across the globe can easily win the Tart Tycoon in-game outfit by scoring 10 points. Top 20,000 players will get physical rewards such as the Free Fortnite hat. Along with these, Epic is giving away gaming hardware including Alienware gaming laptop, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, OnePlus 8, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, or Nintendo Switch to 1,200 players.
Epic has also reminded iOS users that the upcoming seasonal update for Fortnite as well as future updates will not be available on iOS devices. Although Fortnite has been removed from Google Play Store, Android users can download the game via Epic Games App and Samsung Galaxy Store.
Last week, Epic had introduced a new in-game payment method in the mobile versions of the game, which violated the policies of App Store and Play Store. As a result, Fortnite got removed from Play Store and App Store. Epic Games has filed a lawsuit against both Apple and Google, made a parody of 1984 Macintosh ad, and started an online campaign with #FreeFortnite.
